FM30-WT Synthesized FM Stereo Digital Transmitter (Wired & Tested, Fully Assembled)

Our RF engineers took it as a challenge and designed not one, but TWO transmitters! The FM30 is designed using through-hole technology and components and is available only as a do-it-yourself kit, with a 25mW output very similar to our FM25 series. Then they redesigned their brand-new design using surface mount technology (SMT) for a very special factory assembled and tested FM35WT version, with 1W output for our export market! Both are designed around an RF tight vinyl clad metal enclosure for noise free and interference free operation. All settings are done without taking the cover off! Enter the setup mode from the front panel and step through the menu to make all of your adjustments. A two line LCD display shows you all the settings! In addition to the LCD display, a front panel LED indicates the PLL lock so you know you are transmitting. Besides frequency selection, front panel control and display gives you 256 steps of audio volume (left and right combined) as well as RF output power. A separate balance setting compensates for left/right differences in audio level.

In addition to settings, the LCD display shows you "Quality of Signal" to help you set your levels for optimum sound quality. And of course, all settings are stored in the non-volatile memory for future use! The design includes EMI filters on line level audio and power inputs, and a state of the art microstrip PCB inductor to reduce microphonics for the ultimate in alignment free operation. RF output is through a professional well shielded rear panel BNC connector for a perfect antenna match. Standard RCA connectors are used for left and right line level audio inputs. Both the FM30 and FM35WT operate on a 13.8 to 16VDC and include a 15VDC plug in power supply. The stylish metal case measures 5.55"W x 6.45"D x 1.5"H and is a perfect match with your computer to broadcast your music files throughout your house. If you're looking for a super performer without all the features of our FM100 series transmitters, the new FM30 is for you! Mini FM transmitter - TV, CD Player, Walkman - FM Transmitter Kit - CK165

This is a mono FM transmitter that is specially designed to be connected directly to the headphone output of your Walkman or any other audio source with a headphone jack. It includes an stereo input circuit which will mix the left and right stereo channels into a single mono signal. The input is equipped with inductors that will match completely with the headphone output and prevents any possible interference noise. It is tunable on the entire FM commercial band (88 to108 MHz) and is very stable in frequency. This has transmission range of 100ft and consumes 10mA and includes all necessary parts and cables for quick hookup. SOME DEFINITIONS ABOUT TRANSMITTERS AND RESCEIVERS

Amplitude modulation (AM)

This is a method of encoding signals between a transmitting unit and a resceiving unit where the amplitude of a carrier wave is modulated according to the information transmitted. By analogous information, the amplitude is changed proportional to changes in the transmitted information.

By digital information, the amplitude is modulated in discrete steps for each time unit.

Frequency modulation: (FM)

This is a method of encoding signals between a transmitting unit and a resceiving unit where the frequency of a carrier wave is modulated up an down form a ground frquency according to the information transmitted. By analogous information, the frequency is changed proportional to changes in the transmitted information.

By digital information, the requency is modulated in discrete steps for each time unit.

Frequency modulations are divided in two types. In narrowband modulation, the deviation from the average carrier frequency is kept small at both sides. In broadband modulation a greater deviation from the modulation is allowed. Broadband modulation is capeable of transmitting more information and is more robust against disturbances than narowband modulation.

As a whole frequency modulation is more robust against disturbances and against fading than amplitude modulation. FM techiques are therefore generally used in high fidelity equipment.
